Jennette loves things that move her. She is moved by the laughter of children, beautiful photography, the soulfulness of Africa and its people, and Yoga. She keeps connected to the whole by being moved by her six children and the team of missionaries, led by her wonderful father-in-law, Bob Zimmerman, with whom she works closely while in Africa.
Her passion for her missionary work takes her into the African bush where she works to provide medical assistance and education for unreached tribes. She has lived among the remote Digo tribe as one of their own, and often longs for the African countryside and the Children of Tanzania who have taught her so much about gratitude, joy and love. Jennette feels so grateful to be able to share the gifts of yoga with her students! She completed her teaching certification under the direction of the beautiful and enlightened Marni Task. Jennette teaches a fun and empowering Vinyasa Yoga class which includes the soulfulness of her Jivamuhkti roots, and extensive knowledge of alignment in the Anusara traditions.
Jennette draws constant inspiration from her beautiful husband and children. Her love of literature, film and music can also be detected in her teaching style. She is impressed by the simple things, including the abundance of beauty in nature: the SUN!!, dancing, singing, teaching, taking pictures, laughing and connecting with others!
Jennette continues to immerse herself in the teachings of yogic philosophy, tradition, and practice, peeling away her own layers as only Yoga can, has her feeling completely blissed. She loves sharing this awakening with her students! She draws constant inspiration from fellow travelers including Marni Task, Diana Vitantonio, Laura LaRosa, Candace Koslen, Tami Schneider and many, many other wonderful teachers! In the words of her teacher's teacher, " om bolo shree sat guru bhagavan qui jai." ( God is the only real teacher. I bow to the divine inner teacher, Hallelujiah.) We are only on this earth, in this body, with this life for barely enough time to figure out who we are, let alone what gifts we have and how best to share our gifts with those who will inherit the earth from us. No one gets out alive, so live fully. Get on your mat everyday and all is coming.
